Recently, we met with the amazing leadership team

Recently, we met with the amazing leadership team at Red River College's Centre for Newcomer Integration. They are located just blocks away from our two locations, in the beautiful new Manitou A Bi Bii Daziigae building named by Elders to honour the spirit of this place of learning. The Indigenous name has a beautiful meaning: Where Creator Sits, Brings Light (in Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe). The CNI assists more than 2,500 students every year in building English language, cultural communication, and academic skills to further their education, training and employment goals! In our meeting and tour, we discovered many points of connection and possibilities for future partnerships. What an exciting outing for our leadership team!

Thank you to the Community Housing Transformation Centre for supporting our Greening Program this year! With their help, we were able to make the most of summer, sharing farming skills, growing diverse types of produce and teaching our kids how to grow veggies.

We are proud that the collaborative efforts of families and staff have led to safe and vibrant homes for newcomer families in Winnipeg, creating a community of belonging!
Our two residential buildings at 215 Isabel Street and 95 Ellen Street, Winnipeg, MB serve 112 families from over 20 countries and IRCOM remains committed to providing safe, eco-conscious, affordable and transitional housing to refugees and Immigrants.
