IRCOM provides many essential community services to its tenants and the surrounding neighbourhood through the help of our committed volunteers. The wide range of services provided at IRCOM helps to meet the needs of the newcomer population in Winnipeg in order for them to make a successful transition into their new home. Our volunteers contribute to the success of IRCOM and extend our reach into the larger Winnipeg and Manitoba community. IRCOM would not be capable of undertaking the good work that we do without the support of our many dedicated volunteers.
Our volunteers come from many walks of life, offering a myriad of skills, knowledge and gifts to the newcomer community. Some of our volunteers live on-site at IRCOM or in the local neighbourhood, offering cross-cultural and linguistic expertise; while others are students, retired people or other active citizens from across the city, wanting to contribute.
